Des Moines' West Side is an established area of our city with a rich history in niche retail and service businesses, higher education, restaurants, boutique professional offices, cultural amenities, and not-for-profits. From the sole proprietor coffee houses to our major universities, this area boasts a diverse employment base.

Substantial investments have been made in the renaissance of the various cultural and business centers including the Ingersoll corridor, Roosevelt shopping district and the Drake area which attract customers from all over the greater Des Moines area and tourists visiting our city.
